Young Naturalists’ Snowshoeing – CANCELLED

The Young Naturalists’ Snowshoeing scheduled for Saturday, January 13th has been CANCELLED.
The anticipated 3 to 5 cm of snow forecast for Tuesday only resulted in disappointing freezing rain.  Combined with the generally poor snow conditions this year I have decided to cancel the snowshoeing event for 2018.
We will try again next year.

SATURDAY, January 13, 2018
11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  (Registration is now closed for the this program).
Cost: Free  Enrolment is limited due to limited number of snowshoes.  Pre-registration required.
E-mail saskatoonnaturekids@gmail.com to register or for information.

If you have your own snowshoes, you are more than welcome to join us!

Snowshoes are one of the traditional methods of getting around in deep snow. We’re going to strap on some snowshoes and give it a try. Join the Young Naturalists’ as we explore the snowy world on snowshoes. After a busy afternoon of snowshoeing, we’ll enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. Dress warmly. Snowshoeing can be tricky, so bring a change of clothes in case you go “snow-swimming”. Snowshoes are provided, however, we only have a limited number of snowshoes, so enrolment is limited. Please register in advance by e-mail at saskatoonnaturekids@gmail.com (or by phone 306-975-3042). At least one parent/guardian must accompany your child/children on all Young Naturalists activities.
